Awal Centre for Studies and Documentation is a Bahraini institution established in London in 2012. It is concerned with Gulf issues in general and Bahraini issues in particular. It aims at preserving the Bahraini national memory by documenting all typewritten and digital records linked to this memory and keeping pace with emerging events.

Awal Centre held an event on the occassion of National Archives Day in Antoine Library at Beirut. The event was attended by several parties who are concerned with archives and some of the Centre's friends.
During the event, several speeches were delivered by:
–General Director for the National Centre for Archiving and Documentation, Miss Karine Assi.
-Writer and Journalist, Mr. Abdul Rahman Jassem.
-Lecturer in Lebanese University, Dr. Jawad Makki.
-Editorial Secretary of Archivo Magazine, Miss Alaa Hachem.
The event was concluded by launching Awal's search engine.

Archivo is a magazine that deals with the following topics:
Archival problems, ways of preserving archives, introducing owners od national archives and centres of official archives, defining blogs and websites concerned with archives,translating articles written in foreign languages, writing reviews of archive-related books and following up with activities and events related to archives.
